Tim Redding started and pitched quite well, allowing 2 runs in 6 2/3 innings, on 7 hits and 1 walk. He tied his season high in strikeouts with 6. He would leave with the game tied.

After Feliciano finished the 7th, Brian Stokes came on for the 8th, and for the 2nd time in 3 appearances, he blew the game. With men on 2nd and 3rd and 1 out, Jason Giambi pinch hit for Clint Barmes, and the Giambino came through with a 2 run single (anyone else think Giambi in a Rox uniform looks really awkward?). Yorvit Torrealba followed up with an RBI single of his own. Stokes took his 4th loss of the season.
Ubaldo Jimenez was dominant, hurling 8 innings of 2 run ball, giving up 5 hits and 1 walk, adding 4 strikeouts. He notched his 13th win of the season. In 10 starts since the All-Star break, Jimenez is 7-1 with a 2.44 ERA, with an opposing batting average of .197. With Huston Street unavailable due to biceps tendinitis, Franklin Morales picked up the save, his first of the year.
The Mets led early, with Daniel Murphy knocking in Angel Pagan on a sac fly in the 1st. However, that lead did not last long, as Seth Smith homered in the bottom half of the inning to tie the game. Tulowitzki knocked in Smith in the 3rd with a single to make it 2-1. Jeff Francoeur launched a solo shot to left field to tie the game in the 4th, his 7th home run as a Met. David Wright did not start, as they are easing him back from his concussion, but the Great Gazoo did make an appearance as a pinch hitter in the 9th...he grounded out.
The Mets will look to avoid the sweep this afternoon at 3:10. Pat Misch, coming off a great outing last Friday in Chicago, squares off against All-Star Jason Marquis.
